Melissa Vine, a licensed attorney and mental health counselor, has been involved in start-ups, acquisitions, and real estate development. She also led a nonprofit that provided housing for women rising out of homelessness. As Founder and President of The Capital Vine, she continues her mission of helping people navigate complicated systems to get what they need.
Along this journey, she is grateful to have been named the Nexstar Media/WHO-13 2022 Remarkable Woman of the Year, a 2021 member of the Business Record's Forty Under 40, and the 2018 recipient of One to Watch. She has spoken to more than 100 audiences, including the FDIC, Iowa Finance Authority, and Commercial Loan Brokers Association. Her work has been published by the American Bar Association.
Melissa is from Des Moines, Iowa, where she raised four sons - an engineer, two business owners, and a finance major at San Diego State.
